MOTD: Lazy Sunday Sparkles.

Hey, friends! Today is definitely a lazy Sunday makeup-wise - to be honest its a miracle I put anything on my face today, but I'm working this afternoon so some effort was needed. While I mourned the loss of my relaxing Sunday afternoon, I decided to liven up my otherwise ordinary eye look with a pop of gold liner; this is a go-to trick of mine for when I want to look that little bit more made up without spending more than ten minutes on my face. Which is the goal, right?

My base today is my beloved Covergirl 3in1 Superstay Foundation (Have I mentioned this product enough? The answer is yes), along with Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer to hide a multitude of late nights stalking other MOTD posts while munching on cookies. I set this with my Nars Light Reflecting Setting Powder to liven up my matte face before making myself look human-coloured again with Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and Bella Bamba Blush. If you can get your mitts on one of the Box o' Blushes Benefit released over the holidays, do your self a favour and snatch it up - the powders are damn brilliant and it even comes with a baby Watts Up highlighter, your cheeks are 100% sorted in one palette. Thanks, Benefit. Oh, I also love Elf's High Definition setting powder for blurring my everpresent eye bags and just generally improving my face.

This eye makeup is so lazy I almost feel bad blogging about it - but I'm doing it anyway because everyone needs a 90 second look in their repertoire. First up, Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded (or any neutral, really) all over the lid, followed by Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin (a shimmery, rose-champagne), then add any warm brown to your outer eye, slap on some winged liner and mascara and ta-da! Your eyes are done, you're welcome. Swap out the products for whichever similar colours you have; because this look is fairly neutral, you should be able to find a dupe lying around. As I said earlier, I wanted to look a little more done up for my afternoon of retail, and so I added Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Liner in Stargazer - this is my favourite gold liner, it's shimmery and so easy to build. I find it hard to find shimmery liners that don't fade to a lacklustre opacity throughout the day, but this one - and all of the other colours - are winners.

I finished off this look with another favourite, MAC Viva Glam II, which I popped on over their Dervish lipliner.

I hope you're liking frequent MOTD posts, I'm constantly reading them (no really, constantly) (like a wild animal searching for food) so I can't resist posting my own when they turn out well. Let me know if you have any recs!

Enjoy!
