My Highlighter Collection - Part 1

Hey, friends! God damn, I love a good highlight. Whether it be a subtle sheen, or offensively blinding, I am all about that glow life. Despite this, I didn't realise quite how much I appreciate a cheekbone shimmer until I recently sorted through my collection and discovered how many highlighters I own (I've only got one face? Why am I like this?). However, today I am going to do what I do best and justify my superfluous cosmetic stash by blogging about it. Please enjoy part 1 - yeah, I know - of my highlighter collection. Shine on, angels.

Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Champagne Pop
Holy shortbread in the summer, do I adore this highlighter. Every time I do my makeup my paws twitch towards my Champagne Collection Face Palette, and I have to swiftly swat my wrist away so that the rest of my highlighters do not accuse me of favouritism. I honestly thought this would be too dark for my skin tone, but I was wronger than chocolate covered raisins (stop that) and I am so glad that I have experienced it's glory.

Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick in 700
Whenever I look at this product I get angry with myself because I often forget to include it in my makeup routine and thus it doesn't ever get the feature it deserves on my social channels. When I do remember, however, I apply it before my face powder, and then top with a powder highlight (cool or warm-toned! Versatility! Exclamation point!) for ultimate glow.

Makeup Geek X Kathleen Lights Highlight Palette
I'm sitting on the fence with this palette, as Starlight is the only shade I really use out of the three. It is definitely a wonderful option for those with a medium-tan skin tone, however it mostly goes to waste in my collection, unless I mix the remaining two shades with my next mention.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Starlight
Wow, what a shocker to approximately no one who regularly watches my YouTube videos. I am yet to find a basic, cool-toned highlight that hits the mark in the way this baby does. Its that good.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
I have both a single pan, and a palette version of this highlighter, and have chosen to picture "The Manizers" due to the fact that I went so hard on my original pan that it is now a crumbly mess. I feel like that says more than any lyrical prose I could construct regarding this warm-but-not-too-warm powder of shimmery delight.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Peach Goddess
As a self proclaimed Peach Addict™ I had to get my greedy mitts on this bad boy, although I have to say I don't use it too frequently. Despite its loveliness, it is definitely needs to be used as a blush topper, or to be mixed with a more 'standard' highlight shade to be wearable for me.

That's all for now, folks! Successive parts to follow shortly. Which is your favourite so far?

Enjoy!
