My Love Affair With Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks.

Hey, friends! Recently I took the plunge and ordered my first ABH liquid lipsticks and boy have I been missing out. Why did no one strap me down and force me to buy these earlier? How have I been living my life without these? Did I really know true happiness before this?
Anyhow, I thought I'd give you a little swatch and review while I try to keep my hands busy until I drop my life savings on some more shades. Let's get to it!

Formula-wise these babies are pretty damn wonderful. Unlike my other liquid lipstick love, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, these have a mousse-y consistency. They aren't thick, but are at full opacity with one swipe. Although the two brands have the same longevity, they feel completely different on the lips and I honestly can't say which one I prefer more - not just because I'm indecisive, but due to their equal loveliness. After a week of testing I can confirm that touching these bad boys up once throughout the day works, but a second touch up proves difficult. Luckily, these are super easy to remove and start again without leaving a ring of colour around your mouth. Double luckily, these seldom need more than one touch up. Triple luckily, we're moving on to swatches.

First up is my new favourite matte nude, Pure Hollywood. This is a cult favourite which I was initially hesitant about due to my pickiness when it comes to the nude side of life, but I'm now so glad I picked it up. It's light - but not too light - on my fair skin and is cool enough to suit me but not so cool that I lack all dimension.

Next up is Paint, which screamed my name all the way from Beverly Hills as soon as I laid my eyes on it's stock photo. It's a royal blue with a shimmery finish, which just sounds gorgeous to be honest. This is a compliment collector which is exactly what you want out of a bold lip, and I'm obsessed with it. Side note: it works great on the brows too!

Finally - for now - is Dusty Rose. Guys. I'm in love with this lipstick. I'm planning on purchasing a back up in the next release as I've been wearing it so often I'm concerned about how long it will last. This is such a flattering shade which honestly makes fair skin look porcelain, darker skin glow and everywhere in between is gorgeous too. Just look at the swatch.

Have you guys tried the liquid lipsticks? Which are your favourite shades? Let me know!

Enjoy!
Sophia ♡
