Today's outfit included a double feature of my favourite texture in my wardrobe: velvet. I am so enamoured with the stuff because its an easy and versatile way to add interest to an outfit while still only using basic pieces. It also teams well with the dark princess/witchy/vampy look I like to go for. Plus it feels really cool, and makes you want to pet yourself all day.
I mixed this gorgeous cobalt peplum from TJMaxx, a new edition to my collection, with my ol' faithful velvet patterned kimono and I really like how it turned out!
I kept the rest of my outfit pretty basic with black skinny jeans, combat boots and minimal jewellery.
