What I Bought: Portland (Beauty Edition).

Hey, friends! Ok so here's the deal, I bought a lot of things while in Portland; so much so that I'm having to split my haul into two posts. "Everything is just so much cheaper in the US, and there's no sales tax in Oregon!", I tell myself as I walk into Sephora for the fourth time in three days. Don't worry, I'm judging me too. Let's get into the goodies!

The mothership herself, Sephora, was hit the hardest in my spending spree and I am head over heels in love with all of my purchases.
From Kat Von D I picked up her Immortal Lash 'n Line Kit, which contains an Immortal Lash 24HR Mascara and a mini version of the ever popular Tattoo Liner; on a later visit I also nabbed two of her liquid lipsticks in L.U.V, a pink-purple shade and Bauhau5, which is a gorgeous raspberry. I am yet to try the mascara and eyeliner, but boy do those liquid lipsticks live up to their hype - I am yet to find a Kat Von D product that I don't adore!

Make Up Forever has released a new Tease Me collection ahead of the release of 50 Shades of Grey next month - movie inspo aside, their 'Innocent' Nude Lip Trio, containing their Aqua Lip Liner in 3C, Aqua Rouge in 3 and Lab Shine gloss in D16, is a perfect little neutral lip kit which I had to try! The alternate colour scheme, 'Passionate', is a warmer pink and also gorgeous, but I stuck with the nude. Ana Steele eat your heart out.

I have a love/hate relationship with Hourglass cosmetics; love because they're god damn amazing and worth every penny, and hate because, well, they're a lot of pennies. I decided to bite the bullet and pick up two of my most highly desired products of 2014, the Mineral Veil Primer and the Ambient Lighting Palette - both are as beautiful as every beauty guru has ever described. This primer creates such a smooth base, and is the key for profesh looking application. Moreover, the powders in this palette are exquisite and are multipurpose; use them to finish your face, highlight or as blush - just prepare to fall in deep, deep love with this very, very expensive product.

For me, 2014 was the year of Nars appreciation - it was an extreme test of my self control every time I walked by their little stand, but I managed to contain myself and only pick a few items. The radiant creamy concealer was raved about by everyone and their Mothers, so naturally I had to try it out - I am in the colour Vanilla, which matches my skin tone perfectly for both covering blemishes and highlighting under eyes. I have jumped firmly on this bandwagon - I might even be captain of the bandwagon - and have picked up a back up for when I run out of this gooey goodness. The Light Reflecting Setting Powder was also on my list, as well as the Velvet Matte lip pencils - I picked up Never Say Never, a beautiful rosy pink.

Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner is so damn great that I had to pick up a back up of the black shade, and also the beautiful periwinkle blue.

If you haven't tried Bite Beauty's lip products yet, you're missing out - I picked up the a Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Sucre and a High Pigment Pencil in Violet. There were so many delicious shades it was hard to narrow it down!

Another must try is Benefit's Gimme Brow; I was very late to this party, but now I am so there, and my eyebrows are looking great while I'm at it. Bare Minerals Well-Rested Face & Eye Brightener was also a highly lusted over product for me, and to be frank I'm unsure about how I feel towards it - I will report back after further testing!

Tarte's Gifted Mascara was my penultimate purchase, and although I am yet to try it, I am very excited to own my first product from this brand - I've heard only good things! Expect a review post as soon as I try this out. Last, but certainly not least, I finally got my grubby little hands on an OCC lip tar (Can you hear my tears of joy?). Unfortunately, the shades I was after - Sebastian, Black Metal Dahlia and Pagan - were all sold out, but I was soon enamoured by Vain, a sultry dark blue.

I visited Nordstrom during my stay for two reasons: 1. Lorac Pro Palette 2. MAC. My first objective was fulfilled very easily and I adore this palette with every make up loving bone in my body - I may never use anything but Lorac shadows for the rest of my life, seriously. Buy this product. My trip to the MAC counter was mainly to find goodies requested by friends, but while I was there I could resist picking up the cult shade Diva, and Burgundy liner to match.

My last stop was the drugstore, of which I am a major advocate despite what my previous spending may indicate. I couldn't resist picking up some more lipsticks which I didn't need so I chose Maybelline's Superstay 14HR Lipstick in Perpetual Peony, Colorsensational in Born With it and NYX's Butter Lipstick in Snow Cap.

Also from NYX, I found their Jumbo Eye Pencil in Knight. Wet n Wild was my next port of call, where I nabbed their lipstick in Vamp It Up, and Glitter Single in Brass.

Phew, that's all of it! Congratulations if you're still reading this - reward yourself with a gold star and a new lippy. Stay tuned for the clothing part of this haul coming soon!

Enjoy!
