Review: Kat Von D Immortal Lash Mascara.

Hey, friends! I'm in a long lasting love affair with both Kat Von D and her make up line; I find the whole range delightful from the packaging to the product , so naturally I picked up her Immortal Lash Mascara with high hopes. These hopes unfortunately crashed quicker than my brain does sans caffeine (very quickly). I thought I'd post a review of my experience for anyone who is thinking of investing!

The wand has an interesting (read: weird) design. The end is rounded into a ball, while the main portion has bristles in a helix-like structure - does it sound like I know what I'm talking about? This threw me initially, but after a sip of coffee and a mental strategic plan, I worked out  that the swirling bristles on the wand are supposed to separate your lashes if you apply the mascara in a spinning motion, however I was still left with lack lustre definition. Sad face. The little ball is a redeeming factor, as it catches those baby lashes on the corners of the eye, but this was the only significant pro for me. I'm not into fancy new applicators - give me a good old, curved want and I'm set. (I realise that I sound vaguely like an old person telling kids about life 'back in my day').

After several uses I have come to the conclusion that much like cut off shorts, this just isn't working for me. I really wanted to love this mascara, but I didn't notice any curl, length or volume difference after application - back to Maybelline Falsies for me!

Has anyone else had a similar, or vastly different experience?

Enjoy!
