Hey, friends! If you know me, you'll know I love a great lipstick; you'll also know that I'm incredibly lazy. Because of this, liquid lipsticks have become my best friend. I've tried many brands, both drugstore and high end, and narrowed down my top 3 (very difficult, because I'm as indecisive as I am lazy), in the hopes that you'll find one you like too! Because everyone deserves a great statement lip without the hassle and upkeep.



Coming in at number 3 are the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks; the fact that I adore these was not a surprise to me as her whole make up line is god damn fantastic. Of the 12 colours available I have L.U.V, a rich violet colour, and Bauhau5, a deep raspberry. The shades are incredibly opaque, needing only a swipe or two to achieve full vibrancy. They dry to a full matte very quickly so application couldn't be easier, really. An added bonus is that you don't need to line your lips beforehand; in fact, I would recommend that you don't, as these tend to go patchy if you do! I'm definitely going to be picking up a few more of these little things - namely Vampira and Outlaw - I can't get enough.


My runner up choice is a drugstore product which I first purchased in 2012, and never looked back: Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream. The formula of these little wonders are sheerer than the Kat Von D lipsticks, but are very easy to build to the same opacity. I almost always have one in my handbag because they're so easy to apply throughout the day and don't require a liner either! My favourite shades are San Paulo, a deep coral, and Transylvania, a dark purple. These are so affordable and an absolute staple for lipstick lovers - get your hands on some if you haven't already!

My favourite liquid lipstick is also my first dip into the world of Make Up Forever; I decided to take my initial plunge by purchasing the Nude lip trio from their 50 Shades of Grey collection, and the rest is history. Their Aqua Rouge Waterproof Liquid Lip Colour and I are in a whirlwind romance to last a lifetime. I have shade 3, a super 90's dusty-rosey-nude, but am eagerly expecting more in the mail. The formula of these is so easy to apply and so long-wearing - I ate pizza and it stayed on! I think the genius comes from the clear 'top coat' which locks it all in. At first I wasn't tempted to use it, as I felt it would just leave me with goopy, glossy lips instead of the matte finish I was after, but it sinks in immediately and blurs any dry patches on your lips - perfect! These are a little pricey, but worth every cent if you can budget it in.
