Favourite Makeup Geek Shadows!

Hey, friends! If you follow me over on the 'gram you'll know of my complete and utter adoration for Makeup Geek shadows. If I'm wearing eye makeup, I have at least one of these bad boys on my lids. They're the best shadows in the game in my humble, beauty blogger's opinion and I have gently prompted (read: forced) all of my friends to buy them. With over 60 shades available it can be difficult to know where to begin and so I decided to save the day with a look into my favourites from my little collection! So if you're a Makeup Geek virgin looking to pop the cherry, or a veteran wanting to expand their collection, there should be something for you here! Shall we?

Let's start at the very beginning - a very good place to start - with Beaches and Cream. I wear this every single day that I put on the makeups, whether I'm going all out with my eyes or just popping on mascara. It's the perfect transition shade for those of us who are pale with pink undertones, and is just generally delightful. If you're more on the yellow side of life, Peach Smoothie might be a better match, but the formula of these shadows is going to blend your eye look like no other.

Next up is Bitten, the most offensively gorgeous cranberry colour in the universe. This is one of those shadows that I have to talk myself out of using it everyday, because I just want it on my face all the time. It can be packed on with a dense brush for a punch of colour or can be blended into a soft wash, earning it ten versatility points from yours truly. Please just do yourself a favour and buy this. Do it.

Cocoa Bear is a shadow that I'm sure you've heard every beauty blogger and their mothers have rave about, and I'm going to join in. If you'e in need of a warm brown shade, this is the one you want. It blends seamlessly - even into the blackest of black shadows - and doesn't run too orange. Tick.

Speaking of black shadows, Corrupt is my current favourite. It's not chalky, so you won't be left with fallout, but is super pigmented all the same. In the past I've had issues when it comes to blending black below my lash line, but not with this stuff. Most importantly, however, is the fact that it doesn't come off ashy at all.

Masquerade is a foiled shadow which captured my heart as soon as my eyes fell upon it's stock picture on the website. It's a warm, metallic purple and if those three words don't immediately make you weak at the knees, I don't know what will. If you pack it on the lid you get the full foiled effect, however you can also blend it into the crease for a satin finish. This shade will look stunning on every eye colour and you all need it immediately, you're welcome.

One of the questions I receive frequently on the 'gram is "What is that glimmering beacon of gorgeousness on your inner corner?", or you know, something to that effect. More often than not, it is In The Spotlight, another of the incredible foiled shadows. I'm not even going to explain why this is beautiful, I'm just going to direct you to the photo.

I told you.

I hope that this helped you if you're thinking of entering the Holy Land that is Makeup Geek shadows! If you already have a little collection, let me know which are your faves, I'd love to know!

Enjoy!
