Lip Colours I'm Loving - 12 Days of Blogmas!

Hey, friends! I'm assuming that most of you have lips, and given that you're reading a beauty blog, that you enjoy to put products on said lips. Well, I do too and always find myself yelling at anyone who will listen about my fave lip colours and combos. In light of this, I figured it was about time I yelled at you all about it too - shall we?

Once the weather starts heating up, which is the current situation if you're a southern hemisphere dweller, I become a lover of all things nude lips. In fact, I had to restrain myself from only including nude options in this little post. However, I did have to include this one, because after roughly eight millennia of searching I have found my perfect shade - in liquid to matte form, too. Cue the heavenly choruses.

This shade is Pure Hollywood by Anastasia Beverly Hills, which will come as no surprise to you if you're following me on the 'gram as it features in nearly every selfie. Obviously this will pull differently on everyone, but I think this is such a wonderful shade for those of us who are light with cool undertones - for reference, I wear Mont Blanc in Nars.

In a turn of events that not even I saw coming, I have been pairing this bad boy with a gloss. This is a big deal because usually I'd rather chew off my own arm than wear lip gloss, but Nyx Butter Gloss in Eclair looks so pretty over top that I cannot resist.

In short - you need this lipstick.

Next up is another liquid lipstick which is perfect for warmer weather - or whenever, really - Doll Parts by Jeffree Star. I never expected to like this shade, and actually planned on selling it off after buying the holiday set, but I've swiftly fallen in love with it. I find it super complimentary to my melanin-lacking complexion, and it's much easier to pull off casually than I initially imagined.

The only downside to this colour is that when people ask me what I'm wearing and I reply "Doll Parts", there is always a confused three seconds while they process my words - but is that even a negative?

Another Jeffree Star baby that I am adoring is Drug Lord, the pure white liquid lipstick that makes creating custom colours so, so easy. I've been mixing this with everything, but my current favourite concoction so far is 1 part DL:2 parts Weirdo. Just look at it.

Since this is a blogmas post, and thus December 25th is fast approaching, I felt it appropriate to include my current favourite red, because seasonal norms. Usually I'm a wine-red kind of gal, but this year I've been feeling the blue-based end of the spectrum, and thus my pick is Red Essential from Maybelline.

Not only is this colour gorgeous, but it is super comfortable to wear, easy to apply and comes at drugstore prices - you really can't lose.

What are your lips loving lately? I'd love to know!

Enjoy!
Sophia ♡
