Make Up For Ever Goodies!

Hey, friends! Recently, Sephora Aus went online - sending every beauty inclined babe into debt and sending Instragram into haul-central. I was ever so fortunate as to receive three Make Up For Ever products to celebrate the momentous launch, and so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you in case you are looking to spend you life savings on the interwebz. Shall we?

As soon as I read the words Make Up For Ever, a little neon sign began flickering in my brain, spelling out the word: PRIMER. The MUFE Step 1 Skin Equaliser range carries an array of different primers which you can mix and match to best suit your face area and it's needs. I picked up two; the Smoothing Primer because your girl has some serious pores, and the Redness Correcting Primer, because occasionally I resemble a beetroot. I was unsure what to select as my third option, due to the fact that I literally wanted one of everything else, but settled for a Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner in Tender Pink because who doesn't love some lip action?

Let's chat about the smoothing primer first, as it was my most anticipated product. After hearing Queen Jaclyn Hill rave about this product, I knew I would one day have to grace my face with it, and I was not disappointed. As an avid user of the Benefit Porefessional Primer (also available on Sephora online, FYI) I hoped I could something I love as much - and oh boy do I. Finish-wise, these are exactly the same, you are left with a poreless canvas ready for whatever cake you can throw at it. What differentiates the two is the formula; the MUFE primer is much thicker and requires less product, however it does take an extra couple of seconds to blend. I honestly couldn't pick a favourite between the two, but I will definitely be repurchasing my new find as soon as I run out.

I'm always a little skeptical of green-based products to cancel redness - I mean, theoretically I understand that they work, but I've never truly noticed a difference when applying a green concealer or primer. However, after trying the MUFE Redness Correcting Primer, I was impressed at how much easier my redness was to cover with flesh-toned products. Texture-wise, it's super smooth and not at all chunky like a lot of green products I've tried, and doesn't leave you looking like Shrek which I appreciate.

Picking lip colour online is always a bit risky, as undertones are not often communicated well through stock photos. However, Tender Pink is my new favourite pinky-nude liner - this is saying a lot because I own about fifteen. It is the perfect match for my skin tone and glides on like a dream. Though I wouldn't call it waterproof, despite it's name, it is incredibly long lasting and doesn't leave your lips resembling the Sahara. I've worn this on five occasions, and have received compliments each time which is always lovely.

Enjoy!
