Handbag Beauty Must-Haves!

Hey, friends! I'm a handbag hoarder - not just in the 'I own more than several black bags' sense, but also in the 'Damn I have a lot of crap in said bags' sense. I put this down to my always-over-prepared nature, and also the fact that I have a lot of makeup. Second only to used gum wrappers, beauty bits make up the majority of my daily carry-on luggage, and in my defence I almost use nearly all of it. So.
Anyhow, I figured I'd create a little beauty edition of 'What's In My Bag' for all those looking for suggestions, and those who (like me) just enjoy a good snoop!

The first, and most essential, item is a lip balm of any sort. If I'm honest, I have eight in my current bag, but I only photographed one in an attempt to appear that I have my life together. This one is the Model's Prefer Multi-Purpose Balm in Coconut, which I like as I can use it on dry patches of skin as well as my lips! This is definitely not for days when you're wearing a high maintenance lip colour (in which case I recommend Burt's Bees) but its a good'un nonetheless.

Speaking of lips, I always bring along the products I used to paint my pout - just in case I need to touch up during the day. This often results in forgetting to put said items back in my vanity, leaving me carrying several combinations in one bag, but I just can't risk a lipstick smudge.

Arguably more important than lip balm is false lash glue, and a pair of tweezers to wrangle your lashes back into place. Once I forgot to bring eyelash glue and after an unfortunate sneezing-while-driving incident, I spent the rest of the day trying to push the little strips of hair back onto my eyelid. Not so cute. Side note: 1000 Hour lash glue is my absolute favourite and you should most definitely use it for all of your eyelid adhering purposes.

I don't know about you guys, but perfume just doesn't seem to stick to my skin. After about two hours my scent has disappeared and I find myself wanting a top up, so I always keep a roller ball on me. I wish they were more readily available in Australia - looking at you, Myer - but this $10 Sportsgirl bad boy is a winner in my books!

Finally, a translucent powder is undoubtedly essential if you're a person with skin that produces any oil at all ever. My personal favourite is the Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine, as it not only comes with its own brush (hello! convenience!) but it allows for touch ups without caking. No bakery face around here, thank you.
