Check Your Social Media After You're Ready.
Ok, this is one I preach but don't always practise. However, the days where I immediately spring (read: reluctantly crawl) out of bed, get myself together, and then fall down the rabbit hole that is my social networking world, the whole process is a lot quicker.
Choose (and try on!) Your Outfit the Night Before.
Mentally deciding on an outfit well in advance is something I've done for just about ever, but there's nothing worse than putting on said outfit on the day of, and realising you look like a sweet potato in it. To avoid this fate, I've started trying on my chosen outfit the night before, if it is a combination I haven't tried before. This has saved me many a self-loathing breakdown in the morning, and about fifteen minutes extra snore time.
By storing your most reached for skincare and makeup items in one drawer/box/cat themed mug, you won't be scrambling around your vanity in a coffee-induced haze, effectively streamlining your process.
Sleep in Braids.
As a person with hair that I do not want to style at any time (but particularly at the crack of dawn) I have taken to sleeping in braids almost exclusively. Not only does this prevent breakage while I slumber, it also means that I have effortless waves in the morning, with zero effort.
Don't Even Attempt Winged Eyeliner.
Just don't do it.
What are your top morning tricks? Share them, if you please!
Enjoy!
