So I picked this bad boy up at Generation Beauty San Francisco, after finding it out of stock at every single Ulta I stopped by. I very nearly picked up two, but refrained out of fear of not liking it, and boy was I wrong. I mean like 'publisher who rejected JK Rowling' wrong. (Let it go, Soph, its ok).
I chose the fourth to lightest shade, aptly named light, and on my skin tone (Mont Blanc from Nars, for reference) it works perfectly as a highlight shade. There are 14 shades, which sounds expansive, but unfortunately most cater toward the fair-medium category, so here's hoping that Tarte add some more diverse, deep shades.
Onto the actual formula, which is natch the reason I am head over heels in love. Ok, think full coverage, satin finish, non-crease-y formula. Think easy to blend and stays all day. Think nobody being able to tell you have breakouts. Think warm white chocolate cookies with a vanilla milkshake. Sorry, back to concealer. Basically, this stuff will cover everything, even the deepest, darkest eyebags, while leaving your skin looking as natural as possible with a full face of makeup on.
I find I use less foundation on days where I wear this, as it covers my main problem areas perfectly. Nice. Plus someone told me I looked well rested while wearing this, and as someone who is constantly on the edge of a stress breakdown, and thus has not been well rested since the age of three-ish, this was bloody delightful to hear.
Moreover, the applicator is ginormous and for some reason I find it extremely satisfying to apply. Who knows why! But fun!
Just to add to the benefits of this wonder concealer, it is vegan and dermatologically tested, plus it doesn't clog my über sensi pores.
All in all, this stuff is miraculous and well worth the AUD$40.50 it will put you out, in my humble opinion.
